Join us on Wednesday, December 18th from 5-10 PM for a memorial holiday benefit to support the family of our gal Chalyse Koshikawa. We're raising funds to help her husband Satoshi Koshikawa and their two young boys, Orion and Aizen.

Chalyse was a long time employee at Brick & Barley - always pouring and serving beers with a smile. She always worked hard for us -- even coming back to help us last year for the Hairball concert in May. Now it's our turn to help her family. You all crushed it at our first fundraiser in February -- we are asking you to stand up and turn out with us again in December to bring much needed financial help to the Koshikawas and a little holiday cheer!

ALS is not an easy disease to have, but Chalyse faced it with courage, dignity, and a positive outlook.  Chalyse was a fighter, and went after this disease with everything she possibly could. Only ten months after her diagnosis, Chalyse passed peacefully in her sleep on November 6, 2019.

🎹DUELING DUO PIANO SHOW Join us at Brick & Barley on Wednesday, December 18th as the Dueling Duo returns to downtown Grand Forks for another all request Dueling Duo piano show as a benefit for the Koshikawa family.

Show time: 7-10 PM. Tickets are $30 and are expected to sell out. ALL net profits from the show are going to the Koshikawa family. Included in ticket price::: Entrance to the show, buffet style dinner and one tap beer, generously provided by Half Brothers Brewing Company. This will not be a seated show - there will be cocktail tables set up throughout the facility to accommodate a larger audience. Ticket sales are non-refundable. Brick & Barley is a 21+ Venue.

🤫SILENT AUCTION @ 7 N 3rd St (next door to Brick & Barley) (5-8:30 PM, check out starts at 9 PM) (ALL AGES ALLOWED) CHECK IN immediately upon entering the building to get your auction number. In exchange, we need your name and phone number. Walk through the facility, grab a beverage at our Brick & Barley station, and make your bids on items. Check back frequently to stay at the top of the auction list! When the auction ends at 9 PM, we’ll grab all of the auction sheets and get winners organized as quickly as possible. We will start check out at 9 PM, so be there with cash (preferred) or check made out to Satoshi Koshikawa or we will have credit card processing available with a 3% fee, so all net proceeds get to the Koshikawas. You’ll get your goods and the Koshikawas will get the funds! If auction items are not picked up that night, we will call/text winners and make arrangements for pickup on December 19th (NOON – 6 PM for pickup). In February, we had over 180 incredible auction items from generous donors. We are expecting a similar, if not bigger auction for December 18th. If you’d like to donate, please bring your item to Brick & Barley by Friday, December 13th to allow us time to make all of the auction sheets and organize the auction. Please attach a note to the item with your name and phone number so we know who donated what.

💰KEEPING IT SIMPLE – Cash/Check Donations Watch for YELLOW BOXES with YELLOW BALLOONS that are in secure locations for you to generously leave cash or checks for the Koshikawa family. (make checks payable to Satoshi Koshikawa)
